Secondary Education

After primary school, many students experience a decline in writing skills, physical activity levels drop and lifestyle becomes an increasingly important factor. Stimuliz helps secondary schools track that development and take targeted action.

Insight disappears after primary school

In primary school, motor and writing development is increasingly tracked in a structured way. But as soon as a student moves to secondary school, that insight disappears. No transfer of information, no continuous thread. And yet that is precisely when the problems grow.

Writing difficulties get worse, not better. Students who just about kept up in primary school hit a wall in secondary education as the demands on writing speed and legibility increase. The tricky part: in secondary school, these problems are often no longer recognised as a writing delay. They are put down to sloppiness or lack of interest.

At the same time, physical activity levels drop, screen time increases and lifestyle becomes an ever more significant factor. Schools notice this, but lack a way to make it measurable and open to discussion. With large groups and only one or two contact hours per week, it becomes almost impossible to monitor individual students in any structured way.

The insight that is currently missing

Stimuliz gives secondary schools the ability to measure and track writing skills, physical activity behaviour, fitness (via the shuttle run), biometrics and lifestyle in a structured way. You choose which components to use, tailored to your school's priorities.

For each student and each class, you build up a picture that grows with them over the years. Which students are struggling with writing speed? Where is fitness declining? In which classes is lifestyle a point of concern? These insights give you a basis to act before problems quietly grow out of hand.

Targeted action in and outside the classroom

With data from Stimuliz, taking action becomes concrete. A PE teacher adapts the lesson to the actual level. A subject teacher who spots writing problems refers a student on the basis of concrete data rather than a hunch. A mentor makes lifestyle a topic of conversation with data in hand. And a student support coordinator can see from the reports which students deserve attention across multiple areas.

Working with external partners such as community sports coaches, public health services or paediatric physiotherapists? Stimuliz provides a shared foundation. Everyone looks at the same data, which makes collaboration more concrete.

The reports also help to build support across the school. Not with a vague story about the importance of physical activity, but with figures that show how things actually stand at your school.

All data is processed in accordance with GDPR.

"Finally a tool I can use in a single lesson that immediately shows me where to focus. That gives me back time I can spend with the children."
